New Book On Ordinances In The Works

Presently we are engaged in writing a book that sets forth a model landscape code to replace the Louisiana Association of Nurserymen Model Landscape Ordinance that has been located here for the last six months. The new code will contain additional technical information. For instance, the new code will be expanded in tree protection information and will provide language allowing communities to set up Tree And Landscape Commissions. The new model code, will also cover and provide details to post construction landscape practices, irrigation, plant installation and maintenance, tree protection, tree preservation, land clearing, and some aspects of land alteration and habitat preservation. A special chapter will be directed toward Landscape Design Components and Technical Standards & options.
