Guide To Writing A Landscape Ordinance by Prof. D.G. Abbey. This 85 page book was the first book published on the subject of "green laws" in the United States. It began as a research project to determine the extent of landscape ordinances in the State of Louisiana.

Written on behalf of the Louisiana Association of Nurserymen, the document was prepared to assist cities in the drafting of local landscape ordinances. Although specifically aimed at gulf coast region communities, this document has been used around the nation to help communities understand the structure of a well drafted ordinance.
